Materializm (lat.materialis — maddi) — Materiyanı (obyektiv reallığı) mövcudluğun əsası, başlanğıcı, ideal təsəvvürü (anlayış, iradə, ruh, hisslər) isə törəmə olduğunu iddia edən fəlsəfi baxış. Materializm ancaq materiyanı qəbul edir, şüur və şüurla bağlı olan hər şeyi isə materiya subyektlərinin münasibətləri prosesi kimi baxır.
Fəlsəfədə materiyanın daimi opponenti kimi idealizm tərəfdarları çıxış edirlər.
