Mərkəzi Amerikanın vulkanları Mərkəzi Amerika vulkanik sisteminə, Mərkəzi Amerikanın vulkanik yayına daxildir. Bu sistem Sakit okean sahili boyu, şimal-qərbdən cənub-şərqə doğru uzanır. Qvatemala, Salvador, Honduras, Nikaraqua, Kosta Rikanı əhatə etməklə Panamanın şimal hissəsində başa çatır. Belə ki, vulkanik qövs uzunluğu 1500 km-dir. Vulkanik sistem öz müasir strukturunu, Karib dənizi Sakit okeandan ayrıldığı zaman dövründə almışdır.
