1941-1946-cı illərdə İtaliyadan əvvəlcə ABŞ-a, daha sonra Venesuelaya immiqrasiya etmiş və burada Karakasda botanika bağı təşkil edərək, onun direktoru olmuşdur.
1947-ci ildə Venesuela Mərkəzi Universitetində aqronom fakültəsində işləyib.
1951-ci ildə And Universitetinin botanika və ekologiya sahəsində professoru.
1951-1952-ci illərdə Orinoko çayı hövzəsi istiqamətində təbii sərvətlərin öyrənməsi məqsədilə təşkil olunmuş Fransa-Venesuela ekspedisiyasının tərkibində botanik kimi iştirak edib.
"Venesuela Şərəf Ordeni" və "İtaliya Respublikası qarşısında xidmətlərinə görə" ordeninin kavaleridir.
