Mor Yokay

Mor Yokay (mac. Jókai Mór; 18 fevral 1825(1825-02-18)[…], Komarno5 may 1904(1904-05-05)[…], Budapeşt) — Macarıstan dramatisti, romançı və inqilabçısı. Peşt şəhərində 1848-ci ildə başlanan Macarıstan Liberal İnqilabının fəal iştirakçısı və lideri olmuşdur. Yokayın romantik üslubda yazılan romanları Viktoriya dövründə İngiltərənin elit təbəqələri arasında məşhurlaşdı; ingilis mətbuatında onu Çarlz Dikkens ilə müqayisə edirdilər. Onun ən məşhur pərəstişkarlarından və heyranlarından biri də elə Kraliça Viktoriyanın özü idi.

Həyatı

Macarıstan krallığının Komarom (hazırda Slovakiyanın Komarno şəhəri) şəhərində anadan olmuşdur. Atası Jozef qədim Yokay ailəsinin Asva qolunun nümayəndəsi idi.

12 yaşı olarkən atasının vəfat etməsindən sonra ailəsi Mordan atasının sənətini davam etdirməsini istədi. Beləliklə, Mor hüquq sənətinə yiyələndi və hüquqşünas kimi ilk işində uğur qazandı.
