İzah

The Su-2 was the first Sukhoi design and was intended for reconnaissance and light bombing. Although introduced in 1939 it was outdated by 1941 and suffered heavy losses to the Germans. No genuine examples survive. This full-size mock-up is on display in the new Hangar 6B which has been built behind the entrance building. At the time of our visit the hangar had not been officially opened to the public, but we were given special permission to access it from Hangar 6A. Central Air Force museum, Monino, Moscow Oblast, Russia.
